BIGGEST PICNIC IN TEXAS! Kinder Land Bridge Opens in Memorial Park on 2/11

Join Memorial Park Conservancy and its Project Partners on Saturday, February 11 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM for “The Biggest Picnic in Texas” to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Kinder Land Bridge and Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Prairie. For location, parking, and other important details about this free family-friendly event, click HERE.

Celebrate history-in-the-making — there will be entertainment, live music, giveaways, and activities for all ages. Guests are invited to “BYOP” (Bring Your Own Picnic – no glass containers, please). In addition, there will be food trucks to buy food and drinks. For the first 1,000 families to come through the gates, H-E-B is providing FREE picnic baskets stocked with signature snacks like nuts, cookies, and fruit (available only on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last).

This collaborative celebration is intended to welcome all Houstonians to experience this new 100-acre space, hosted by Memorial Park Conservancy and its Master Plan project partners: Houston Parks and Recreation Department, Uptown Development Authority, and Kinder Foundation with additional program support from the City of Houston Mayor’s Office.
